I have been a full- time consumer researcher for over 30 years and over that time have worked across most categories of the food industry and many categories within personal care  and household products categories.

What makes me tick?   Consumers and how they react.   They never do the expected, they are often unpredictable which keeps me on my toes!   They are always intriguing and their viewpoint brings me new insights every day.

My research has ranged from relatively simple products, such as new flavours for potato chips,  through to complex cooked and baked products.   I did the original research which resulted in 1.5% milk being launched in New Zealand and that name Lite Blue?   A consumer suggestion which is still in the marketplace today.

Over the years, my work has been associated with many successful products – Grain Waves, Mizone, V Sugarfree, Hubbards Amazing Muesli range to name a few. I bring consumer insights in many categories to any product development project you have.

I have a Bachelor of Home Science from Otago University, a Master of Science from University of Guelph and a Doctor of Philosophy from Massey University.  I am a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology and a Fellow of the Research Association of New Zealand.
